2026 VGL Local Rules
Established Course Standards & Relief Procedures
Stroke & Distance Alternative (E-5)
To maintain our 2:15 Pace of Play standard, the VGL utilizes Model Local Rule E-5. If a ball is Out of Bounds or Lost, players may take relief in the nearby fairway for a two-stroke penalty rather than returning to the tee.
HOW TO DROP: Find where the ball went out or was lost, find the nearest fairway edge no closer to the hole, and drop within two club-lengths of that fairway edge.
The 2.5' Tape Rule
Vandal Golf flagsticks are marked with black tape exactly 2.5 feet from the cup. If any part of your ball is inside this length, the putt is considered "good" for a net score. No putts may be given outside of this tape measurement.
Course Specifics
Hole 3: The tall grass area behind the green is played as a Red Penalty Area. Relief is taken from the point of entry.
Hole 13: The "Infinity Stake" rule applies to the deep ravine. If a ball crosses the edge of the ravine, relief is taken from the designated drop zone.
