Vandal Golf League | 2026 Official Update

URGENT CONSTRUCTION ADVISORY: Nez Perce Drive is closed to all through-traffic East of the golf course for the duration of the season. There is no access to the course from the East side of town via Nez Perce. All league players must approach the facility from the West (Kibbie Dome side). Please plan for an extra 5-10 minutes of travel time to ensure you don't miss the shotgun start.

Trailers: See the bottom of this page for specific parking instructions and a layout map.

The 5-Man Roster Transition

Why the Change? In previous seasons, the administrative burden of finding substitutes and managing "ghost" matches has significantly impacted the quality of the league experience. To solve this, we are transitioning to a 5-man dues-paying roster model. While only four players compete on any given night, having a fifth rostered member provides every team with a built-in, handicap-verified alternate for travel, work conflicts, or emergencies. This ensures full fields and a smoother pace of play for everyone behind you.
Mandatory Implementation: For the 2026 season, we are strongly encouraging all teams to finalize a 5-man roster. This allows you to vet your fifth player and establish a team rhythm before this structure becomes strictly mandatory for the 2027 season. If you need assistance finding a fifth player, please contact the Pro Shop.
The Weekly Roster Deadline: Captains are responsible for selecting which four players will be active for that week's match. Lineups must be finalized within the Golf Genius portal no later than 11:59 PM EVERY WEDNESDAY. If a lineup is not set by this time, the system will lock, and the Pro Shop will use the top four names on your roster by default.

Pace of Play & Enforcement

The 2:15 Standard: League play is a shared experience. To ensure every group finishes before dark and to maintain the flow of the shotgun start, our target time for 9 holes is 2 hours and 15 minutes. A group is officially considered "Out of Position" if they lose more than one full hole of distance from the group in front of them.
The Mandatory Skip Protocol: If your group is identified as out of position, a board member or staff member will issue a formal warning. You will have two holes to close the gap. If the gap is not closed after two holes, your group must skip the next hole to regain your position on the course. There are no exceptions for "slow play by opponents" or "lost balls"—the group as a whole is responsible for the gap.
The 2-Point Penalty Swing: When a hole is skipped due to pace, the Match Play point for that hole AND the Overall Stroke Play point (Point 10) are immediately awarded to the team NOT causing the delay. Because league standings are determined by total points earned over the split, a single 2-point penalty can significantly impact your team's post-season seeding. If both teams in a group are deemed responsible for the delay, no points will be awarded to either side.

Logistics & Trailer Management

Trailer Parking Restricted: Due to the increased congestion from the Nez Perce road closure, we cannot accommodate trailers in the main clubhouse parking lot. All trailers must be parked on the shoulder of Nez Perce Drive (below the construction signage) or in the Kibbie Dome parking lot. Players can then drive their personal carts up to the clubhouse from those designated areas.
